How To Assign an Access Control (RFID, Key FOB, Proximity Card, Barcode, PIN, or Mobile) Credential from Host Settings
As an administrator of the TekControl Portal, there may be instances where you will need to add an access control credential for an existing host. In order to do so, you will need to be a site administrator or higher to access this feature.
Logged in as a Site Administrator or higher user, access the TekControl Web Portal.
In the navigation bar, click on Administration, which will give you a drop-down where you can access General Administration. Click on General Administration to be brought to the Site Administration page.
If you are a client administrator, you will need to select the specific site in the top right.
You are now on the general site administration page.
Scroll down to Host Settings
The sidebar will now appear on the right with Host Information.
You may type the name of the host in the "--Add New Host--" section to search for the host/resident.
If the host exists, their name (and address associated) will appear in the dropdown.
Click on their name to bring up their Host Information.
If the host is not listed, you will need to add the host by entering their information below:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Any Additional information
Once information is entered, scroll down in the sidebar and hit save to add the new host.
Find the Access Credential tab in the top bar. On smaller screens, you may need to click the arrows on the right to locate it.
