How does the self-registration for TEKControl work
There are two ways to send self-registration. You can do it on an individual basis, for a new homeowner, or a community-wide distribution, if you are just starting with visitor management. Either way, the outcome is the same. I will provide the instructions on an individual basis at a later date. A community-wide distribution will be done by TEKWave.
Only the primary host will receive the registration and only if there is an email address in the system.
If the host wants to allow a family member a login, they will have to set that up. Those instructions will follow later.
Once the self-registration is sent, the host will receive this automated email from the system. By default, it comes from firstname.lastname@example.org. If you want it to come from a community email (like email@example.com) please provide that email address. This page can also be customized with a different message if supplied by you.
After the host clicks the link, it will take them to the page below.
- They need to remember their username (email address)
- Create a password
- Click Continue
Once they hit continue, it will take them to the page below where they can update their phone numbers and opt-in for any notifications.
Once they click finished, they will be logged into the TEKControl site and receive the email below.
