Steps for associating incoming license plate reads on the guard desktop application
1. When a license plate is picked up, a green or red banner will appear at the bottom of the application showing the image, its LPR read information, and buttons to the left and right.
2. A red banner indicates the LPR information does not match an existing host or visitor. A green banner indicates that it does match a record, and that record information is shown to the right of the buttons.
3. In cases where the image is unclear or the LPR is mistranslated (a "B" is picked up as an "8" or a "0" picked up as a "D"), you can use the arrows to cycle through recent reads and select the best one.
4. To associate the read to the visitor being processed, select the host they are visiting to bring up their list of visitors.
5. If the visitor is not on the list and should be admitted, click "New Visitor" to begin the visitor creation process.
6. Clicking "New Visitor" will tie the LPR read to the visitor being created, and will automatically fill the license plate information into the panel. The rest of the visitor processing can continue as usual.
7. If the visitor does appear in the host's visitor list, select the appropriate visitor from the Visitors table.
8. Click "Use Plate" to open the visitor processing panel and tie the LPR read and image to that existing visitor's information
9. The LPR read and image are now tied to the existing visitor record, with the other fields remaining unchanged. The rest of the visitor processing can continue as usual.
