How To troubleshoot a Printer
The following steps can be followed to reset a printer to default if there were any previous settings causing issues after installing it to a new location. The drivers for the printer are installed on the PC so it should be able to automatically detect it.
We would like to request you follow some of these troubleshooting steps to see if it resolves the problem:
- Check the Connections
Ensure that the connections and power cord are secured and proper communications are being established
- Power Off the Unit
Press and hold the power button until the unit is fully powered off
- Open the Unit and check for any obstructions
Ensure that the inside of the unit is free of any foreign objects and the passes are free from obstructions that may affect the print
- Power on the Unit
Ensure that the printer powers on and no errors are thrown
- Recalibrate the Unit
Press and Hold X and Pause buttons to recalibrate the unit (Pictured Below)
The printer will automatically calibrate itself to the media
- Print a Configuration Page
Press and hold the feed and X button to do a self-test / print a configuration page
