How To Add a Tenant to a Host Account
To add a tenant to the family tab, see the info below.
Giving a Tenant their own TEKControl Account for a property:
Log in and go to Administration/General Administration/NEW Host Settings (BETA)
Select the Host.
Select the Host Family tab.
Click on the + Add New at the top right corner of the screen.
Enter the person’s information (include at least an email and smartphone # - 10 digits with no other characters), and select Tenant under the relationship pull-down menu.
· If you want them to have access to the primary account visitor list (such as a spouse) select Edit All Visitors. For a tenant, do not select this option.
· If you want them to have viewable access to the primary account (such as a spouse) select View Primary Host Details. For a tenant, do not select this option.
· If you want them to have editing access to the primary account (such as a spouse) select Edit Primary Host Details. For a tenant, do not select this option.
Select Enable user login. You will be prompted to enter a username for your tenant (we suggest their email address) and choose a password.
Save the family member.
Provide the username and password to your tenant. They can then go to the portal and log in, or download the app and log in. They will be prompted to change their password.
