Notes on the Card Printer
If the orange “pause” indicator is lit, press the similar-looking button to resume:

If the printer isn’t working and shows something different than above:
- Unplug the power adapter.
- Plug it back in.
- Turn the printer on by pressing the button. It takes maybe 30 seconds to boot up.
The paper card leading edge should be just inside the front edge of the printer. That puts the printed image in the center of the card and allows you to tear the card off after printing.
Every time we start a new paper deck, or if the feed-up length is wrong, re-calibrate the edge gap sensor by pressing and simultaneously and holding. When the paper stops moving, release the buttons.
To check for proper feed-up, press the button, which will eject a card and ready the printer to print a new card. It should feed up to exactly the same place on every card.
The edge-detection eye seems to work well when adjusted to this position:
